What is my Christmas Style?

One of the number one things people don’t know, or ask for help on is “What is my Christmas style?” In general, people know what they like; but, how do your transfer what you like into a style category or achieve that designer look? Well first off you hire me😉, and I can do all the heavy lifting and figure out your Christmas Style. If you are not ready to hire a Christmas Designer, I will give you a peek inside my process!
I will be able to figure out what a client’s Christmas style is based on our initial consultation, the pinterest board, and some follow up questions and pictures to nail down exactly what their look is.
How do I get my clients started on the path to figure out what their Christmas style is? I first have them create a Pinterest board and add me to it. I ask my clients to pin photos that they are drawn to and love. Maybe it makes them happy or speaks to them. Maybe it is a color, a feel, or a theme that they are drawn to. I will be able to figure out what a client’s Christmas style is based on our initial consultation, the pinterest board, and some follow up questions and pictures to nail down exactly what their look is. Being able to see all the pins that they like in one board gives an excellent overview of what they are drawn too. Doing this makes it soooo much easier to nail down what their look is. I then ask follow up questions and send pictures that really hone in on their style. And voila, we have it! Then one of my favorite parts begins, the shopping!

Your decorations are up for 4-8 weeks, have fun with it! That being said, if you have an elegant traditional home, and you are drawn to a rustic cabin Christmas style, it simply does not fit. So I will help to guide you toward a style that will better suit your home. You want your Christmas décor to show off and highlight what you already have, not distract.
Part of being a good designer is not about creating what you like or what your style is and replicating it over and over again in your clients’ homes. It is about listening to your client and determining what THEIR style is and what THEY like, then creating a design unique to them!
